Osteopathy

  • Osteopathy differs from allopathic medicine in that its philosophy and practice is based on the body’s natural and inherent ability to heal itself.

  • In the US there are Allopathic/Medical Doctors - MD’s and Doctors of Osteopathy - DO’s. They hold equivalent degrees, receive the same didactic training, and attend the same post-graduate residencies in all medical specialties. Dr. Chapman is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

  • DO’s offer all of the available treatments for medical diagnoses. In addition they are trained in unique methods of diagnosis and treatment of the Musculoskeletal System and use hands on manipulation for healing. Dr. Chapman is skilled in this area and many of her patients benefit from this hands-on approach.

Slow Medicine

Slow doesn’t mean delayed.

Slow means creating space for guidance and clarity which can reveal a more resonant path toward healing and less time to feeling better.

I am your partner on the journey.

  • I consider it a privilege to be cared for and treated by Dr. Chapman. She is focused, compassionate, and skilled. I am confident in my session with Dr. Chapman that she is thoughtfully choosing then, the best treatment appropriate for me and my current condition. I have benefited tremendously from her attention to my health and wellbeing.

    PCP

  • I very much appreciate Dr. Quinn’s holistic approach to her work. As a patient, it is clear to me that she does not see me as simply a mechanism with a few uncomfortable quirks that just need to be adjusted to set me right. She has a wealth of information that helps me make better choices to support my better health. She is also a very patient, compassionate, and deep listener in ways that help me get to the roots of issues that may have impacted me for many years. These, I believe, help to inform how she does her osteopathic treatment. The result is a feeling of greater balance in body mind and spirit. And I confess, starting a session with a cuppa of tea, ain’t half bad.
